About pediatric dentistry

Dr. Saboowala enjoys working with kids of all ages, inside the office and out in the community through programs like the ADA Foundation's Give Kids a Smile. She and her team make a special effort to put children at ease during every visit.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a child's first dental visit by age 1. That first visit is all about building trust: we welcome your little one, give a tour and a prize, and only then begin any care. Younger patients can even watch their favorite shows on our in-room iPads.

Our services for children

Exams & check-ups

A thorough look at teeth and gums for any signs of decay, with digital X-rays when needed.

Gentle cleanings

Extra-gentle cleaning, polishing and fluoride, plus brushing tips for kids and parents.

Sealants

A protective coating on the back teeth's grooves, where cavities form most often.

Crowns for children

Common questions

When should my child first see a dentist?
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a first visit by your child's first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth appearing.
My child is nervous. How do you help?
We go slowly, explain everything in kid-friendly language and never rush into treatment. Entertainment on our in-room iPads helps too.
How long do sealants last?
With good care, sealants can protect the chewing surfaces of the back teeth for many years. We check them at every visit.
